What is the tripofthings cancellation policy?

Cancellation Policy

 

Your host sets the policy for the accommodation fee refund.

Each listing and reservation on our Platform will clearly state the cancellation policy.

Guests may cancel and review any penalties by viewing the My Bookings section of their travel plans and then clicking ‘Cancel’ on the appropriate reservation.

A host will be able to see the number of reservations guests have canceled over the previous 12 months when the guest submits a request to book.

A reservation is officially canceled when the guest clicks the cancellation button on the cancellation confirmation page via the App.

If there is a complaint from either party, notice must be given to Tripofthings.com within 24 hours of check-in.

Cancellation policies may be superseded by the Guest Refund Policy, extenuating circumstances, or cancellations by Tripofthings.com for any other reason permitted under the Terms of Service. Please review these exceptions.

Tripofthings.com will mediate when necessary, and has the final say in all disputes.

 

Cancellation Policy specific for Accomodations

Tripofthings.com allows hosts to choose among three standardized cancellation policies (Flexible, Moderate, and Strict) that we will enforce to protect both guest and host alike.

Flexible cancellation policy

Get a full refund of accommodation fees if you cancel at least 48 hours before check-in.

Cancel with less than 48 hours of check-in, or after you’ve checked in, and the accommodation fees are not refunded.

Moderate cancellation policy

Get a full refund of accommodation fees if you cancel 5 or more days before check-in.

Cancel within 5 days of check-in, or after you’ve checked in, and the accommodation fees are not refunded.

Strict cancellation policy

Get a 50% refund of accommodation fees if you cancel 10 or more days before check-in.

Cancel with less than 7 days notice, and the accommodation fees are not refunded.

 

Cancellation Policy specific for Experiences

Tripofthings.com allows hosts to choose among three standardized cancellation policies (Flexible and Strict) that we will enforce to protect both guest and host alike.

Flexible

  • Full refund if you cancel at least 3 days before it’s scheduled to start.
  • No refund if you cancel within 3 days before it’s scheduled to start.

Strict

  • These experiences are non refundable.

Cancellations related to weather

Hosts plan for changes in the weather and will try to continue the experience as planned, even in bad weather. If severe weather conditions make it unsafe for you and your host to continue as scheduled, the host may adjust the itinerary. If the experience is substantially changed or canceled altogether, you can request a refund via getting in contact with us.
