A fascinating Renaissance palazzo hidden inside one of the towers of the Rocca Aldobrandesca on Via Collacchioni at the heart of Capalbio. Inside are three floors of some beautifully frescoed rooms.
It’s hard to know when the palazzo is open to visitors so the best thing to do is stop by.
The frescoes and furniture are all antiques from the 19th century. Its arranged in such a way that you feel like you’re peeking into a two-century-old home.
There’s even an original Conrad Graf fortepiano, which is said to have been played by Giacomo Puccini. It’ll leave you speechless, trust me!
You can also climb to the top of the tower and enjoy an unspoiled view of Capalbio and the surrounding countryside.
